Short: v3.4 - Watch lots o' files.
Uploader: agraham@hal9000.net.au (Ali Graham)
Author: agraham@hal9000.net.au (Ali Graham)
Type: comm/mail
Replaces: comm/mail/MailWatch.lha
Requires: Mail program, wbstart.library or WBStart-Handler,
AmigaOS 2 or higher, HTML browser
to read the documentation
Version: 3.4
This is a mail notification program which places AppIcons
on the Workbench. These AppIcons then change state in
response to the changes in filesize of the files
that you specify that the program should watch.
Reasons to use it:
Implemented as a commodity.
Can watch one file or millions (well, I've only
tested it up to 16 at the moment, but there are
no program-imposed limits).
Has a preferences program, to configure the
attributes for the AppIcons that it shows.
Can also run programs or scripts when the state
of the mailfiles change.
Can start programs via the CLI or Workbench, using
wbstart.library on OS 3.x systems, or
WBStart-Handler on OS 2.x systems.
Quits if run twice (in good AUISG style, unlike
Sabot).
Free - well, actually it's MailWare.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
NEW FEATURES: * You can now specify icon location for each state
of the AppIcons.
* Bug fix to the preferences program: if you
used a custom font, it wasn't freed.
* Broke up documentation into separate
parts (kinder for people with less memory...
explanation of preferences is graphics-heavy).
* Reduced size of both MailWatch & MailWatchPrefs
by about 2K.
